Ricardo Vieira is an educator committed to collaborative learning that engages students, staff, families, and the community. Creativity, compassion, and critical thinking are three of the values that Ricardo instills in his students every day.
He has a Bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Santo Amaro, a Master’s degree in education from Framingham State University, Certify Athletics Administrator from NIAAA, and is currently pursuing a Principal certification from the Principals’ Training Center (PTC). Ricardo is a distinguished leader and recognizes the potential in every child; he believes that all kids can learn based on the stimulus and the environment.

Ricardo joins BASIS International School this academic year as Dean of Students. With extensive experience in developing and implementing student leadership programs, and engaging students in different projects and learning opportunities, he is excited to work in partnership with the school community and make a significant impact on the BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen as a founding team member.
Ricardo and his wife Tatiana are passionate about cooking, traveling, reading, and sports. They raise their boys Bruno and Felipe with a meaningful family foundation and international mindedness.
